Football Recap: Newberry Academy Falls to Laurens Academy in First Game of Season

Newberry Academy had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a hard 30-14 fall against the Laurens Academy Crusaders. Newberry Academy was down 30-6 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Leading Laurens Academy to victory were Mason Cooper and Ethan Collins. Cooper gained 113 total yards and two touchdowns, while Collins threw for 148 yards and three TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes.
