Basketball Recap: Ridgemont Takes a Loss

Ridgemont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 36-29 to the Triad Cardinals. If the Golden Gophers were looking for revenge after losing 56-34 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Triad's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mia Lemay, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Abbey Overfield, who posted eight points along with 12 boards and eight assists.

Ridgemont's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Triad, their record now sits at 5-17.

Ridgemont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-23 defeat against Pandora-Gilboa on the 15th. As for Triad, they have also already played their next match, a 48-19 loss against Fort Recovery on the 15th.
