Baseball Recap: Carroll County's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

Carroll County lost against Anderson County back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Carroll County took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Anderson County. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Luke Taylor made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Preston Snow was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 4-3. As for Anderson County, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carroll County will challenge Switzerland County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Anderson County, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Anderson County Bearcats duke it out with Elizabethtown Panthers at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
