Football Recap: Moberly Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hannibal, Moberly was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Mexico Bulldogs by a score of 28-21. This was payback for the Spartans, who suffered a 39-20 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Mexico still got an impressive performance from Charlie Fisher, who rushed for 116 yards and one TD on only 14 carries, and also threw for 79 yards and one touchdown. Korbyn Dorsey helped out on the ground, rushing for 81 yards.

Moberly is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.0 points over those games. As for Mexico, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Moberly will welcome Orchard Farm at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Mexico, they are taking a road trip to square off against MICDS at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
