Volleyball Recap: Bear River Starts off Right with Win over Sacramento Country Day

Bear River took care of business in their home opener on Saturday. They came out on top against the Sacramento Country Day Cavaliers by a score of 2-0. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Bear River easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-10.

Eden Cha paced Bear River's offense, picking up 11 kills. Cha got some help from Brooke Milligan and her 18 assists. Milligan also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Bella Stafford, racking up three apiece.

Coincidentally, Bear River and Sacramento Country Day will both be playing Westlake Charter the next time they take the court. The Cavaliers will head out to face the Explorers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bruins will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
