Baseball Game Preview: Midwest City Bombers vs. Norman North Timberwolves

Midwest City is 1-9 against Norman North since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Midwest City will head out to challenge Norman North at 5:00 p.m. Midwest City will be strutting in after a win while Norman North will be coming in after a defeat.

Midwest City's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Nathan Hale. The result was nothing new for the Bombers, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Norman North lost 12-1 to Edmond Santa Fe on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Timberwolves in their meetings with the Wolves: they've now lost nine in a row.

Midwest City's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-6. As for Norman North, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Midwest City came out on top in a nail-biter against Norman North when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Midwest City since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
