The Wickenburg Wranglers will square off against the Glendale Prep Academy Griffins at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Wickenburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.2 runs per game this season.

Last Monday, Wickenburg made easy work of Miami and carried off a 13-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wranglers.

Larry Wilcox was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Glendale Prep Academy put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Tonopah Valley by a score of 8-4.

Eli Marsh was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Corbin Kim and Carter Blake did most of the damage at the plate: Kim scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Blake scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Kim has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Joshua Rickey also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Glendale Prep Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in six consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Glendale Prep Academy's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Wickenburg, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Wickenburg has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Glendale Prep Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 strikeouts.
