Volleyball Recap: Dunwoody Gets the Win

Dunwoody posted their closest victory since August 22, 2024 on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Northview Titans 3-2. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Titans, too.

Dunwoody got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 30-28, 25-14, 17-25, 22-25, 15-9.

Dunwoody found their leader in sophomore Simone Stroe, who had 16 digs and two aces.

Dunwoody was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Dunwoody now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Northview, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

When Dunwoody and Northview next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Wildcats will try to stop Jackson County's three-game winning streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Northview will take on Woodland and their three-game winning streak at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
