Softball Game Preview: Centennial Eagles vs. Putnam Kingsmen

For the second straight game, Centennial will face off against Putnam. The Eagles will take on the Kingsmen at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Centennial has given up an average of 13.1 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Putnam hit Centennial with a four-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Kingsmen, falling 13-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Kingsmen: they've now lost three in a row.

Claire Carron made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Amiah Rau, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Putnam, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13.
