Basketball Recap: Green Hope Falcons vs. Holly Springs Golden Hawks

There's no place like home for the Green Hope Falcons, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They snuck past Holly Springs with a 59-54 win on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Green Hope, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

It was another big night for Abigail Brown, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 16 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Swar Dave, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Holly Springs lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Amy Lissow, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Lissow is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kalaesia Lincoln, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 rebounds and nine assists.

Green Hope now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Holly Springs, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-15.

Green Hope will take on the Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Apex Friendship focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Tuesday. As for Holly Springs, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. Averaging 55.79 points so far this season, Middle Creek's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so the Golden Hawks better be ready for a challenge.
