Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Samantha Dues and Mattie Barker Lead Jeffersonville to Victory

Jeffersonville won the last time they faced Rock Creek Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Red Devils blew past the Lions 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Devils.

One reason for the win was Jeffersonville's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-12, 25-7.

Leading Jeffersonville to victory were Mattie Barker and Samantha Dues. Barker had eight digs and six assists, while Dues had four digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Jeffersonville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

The victory got Jeffersonville back to even at 2-2. As for Rock Creek Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Coming up, Jeffersonville will welcome Lanesville at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Rock Creek Academy, they will face off against Columbus East at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
