Softball Recap: Raleigh Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Raleigh's offense. They lost 13-0 to the Northeast Jones Tigers on Thursday. The Lions have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Raleigh saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kallee McWilliams, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Raleigh's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Northeast Jones, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Raleigh will venture away from home to take on Stringer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeast Jones, they are taking a road trip to challenge Seminary at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Northeast Jones is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
