James Island is 9-1 against West Ashley since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. West Ashley took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on James Island, who comes in off a win.

James Island's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They beat Stall by a goal, winning 1-0. The final result isn't all the surprising considering James Island's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 16th, while Stall are ranked 104th).

Meanwhile, West Ashley fought the good fight in their overtime match against Ashley Ridge on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Swamp Foxes by a score of 4-3. West Ashley haven't had much luck with Ashley Ridge recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

James Island's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for West Ashley, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

James Island came out on top in a nail-biter against West Ashley in their previous matchup two weeks ago, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
