Ferndale not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 22, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the South Fork Cubs with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Saturday.

While Ferndale won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 25-23.

Amaya Mathews paced Ferndale's offense, picking up nine kills. Mathews got some help from Dalia Cantu-Mendez and her 18 assists. Danica Dowd controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

The win made it two in a row for Ferndale and bumps their season record up to 7-11. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 3-16-1 Hoopa Valley and 6-10 South Fork. As for South Fork, they dropped their record down to 6-10 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ferndale will face off against rival St. Bernard's at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, South Fork is set to challenge their familiar foe Hoopa Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
