Volleyball Recap: Lone Peak Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Woods Cross

Lone Peak faced Woods Cross in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Knights lost 3-0 to the Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in August.

Madi Rich paced Lone Peak's offense, picking up 11 kills. Rich got some help from Brooke Chistoffersen and her ten assists. Luhanna Panta controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

With the loss, Lone Peak broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-3. As for Woods Cross, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Lone Peak wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Orem on the 6th. As for Woods Cross, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Skyridge on the 6th.
