Soccer Recap: Mt. Vernon Comes Up Short

Mt. Vernon was the 1-0 winner over Regina when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Regals on Thursday.

Mt. Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7-4. As for Regina, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6-3.

Looking ahead, Mt. Vernon will venture away from home to square off against Clinton on Friday. As for Regina, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Springville on the 15th.
