Softball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Clarkstown South's 17th in Last 18 Outings

With a playoff win on the line, Clarkstown South rose to the challenge on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the East Islip Redmen 8-7. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by just one run.

Clarkstown South has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for East Islip, they moved to 20-8 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Clarkstown South nor the Redmen have any future games scheduled.
