Basketball Game Preview: Columbia Heights Hylanders vs. Kennedy Eagles

Columbia Heights is on a four-game streak of home losses, Kennedy an 11-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Columbia Heights Hylanders will welcome the Kennedy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Tuesday, Columbia Heights had to suffer through a 107-44 loss at the hands of DeLaSalle. While losing is never fun, the Hylanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 348th, while the Islanders are ranked 12th).

Meanwhile, Kennedy took a blow against DeLaSalle on Thursday, falling 86-44. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Columbia Heights' loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Kennedy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Columbia Heights won a game that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in February of 2024, slipping by Kennedy 68-67. Does Columbia Heights have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kennedy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
