Football Game Preview: Graham Steers vs. Bridgeport Bulls

Graham has gone a perfect 7-0 against Bridgeport recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Steers will welcome the Bulls at 7:00 p.m. Bridgeport took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Graham, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Graham got the win against Burkburnett by a conclusive 34-14. The victory continues a trend for the Steers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Jace Gill had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 300 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 81 yards and one score on only ten carries. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (135.4). Brodie Martin was Gill's top target, picking up 103 receiving yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Graham was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 202 rushing yards. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Meanwhile, Bridgeport's game on Friday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They came up short against Mineral Wells, falling 49-28. The Bulls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bridgeport's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Graham, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Everything came up roses for Graham against Bridgeport when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 56-0 victory. Do the Steers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulls turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
