James Island won the last time they faced Hilton Head Island and things went their way on Saturday too. The Trojans walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Seahawks. While the Trojans didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-21-4), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

James Island not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Hilton Head Island between 15 and 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16.

Aubree Lanham paced James Island's offense, picking up six kills. Lanham got some help from Natalie McGeorge and her ten assists. Lanham was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

The win made it two in a row for James Island and bumps their season record up to 9-4. As for Hilton Head Island, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

James Island didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Lucy Beckham on the 30th. As for Hilton Head Island, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Bishop England on the 30th.
