Soccer Game Preview: Stoneman Douglas vs. American Heritage

American Heritage is hoping to do what Cooper City couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to Stoneman Douglas' winning streak, which now stands at three games. Stoneman Douglas' defense stepped up to hand Cooper City a 3-0 shutout. Give the Eagles' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

They hit Cooper City with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emily Rodriguez, Alexa Jourdan, and Courtney Heymach.

Meanwhile, American Heritage faced Lourdes Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams back in December of 2024. American Heritage put the hurt on Lourdes Academy with a sharp 5-1 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Patriots considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.

Stoneman Douglas' win bumped their record up to 7-0-5. As for American Heritage, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
