After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Shiprock finally came back down to earth on Friday. They came up short against the Portales Rams, falling 13-2. The Chieftains' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Shiprock now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Portales, they moved to 3-7 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

The teams wasted no time getting back out on the field as they've already faced off again: they played to a 8-8 draw later that day.
