Soccer Game Preview: Pieper vs. Boerne

The Pieper Warriors will head out to challenge the Boerne Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pieper is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

On Tuesday, Pieper beat Alamo Heights 3-1. Given Pieper's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Alamo Heights are ranked 474th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pieper hit Alamo Heights with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jackson Blankenship, Landon Villarreal, and Matthew Randall.

Meanwhile, Boerne hasn't lost a match since January 1st, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They skirted past Alamo Heights 2-1. That's two games straight that Boerne have won by just one goal.

Boerne's win bumped their record up to 7-1-1. As for Pieper, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2-3.

Pieper was able to grind out a solid win over Boerne when the teams last played back in March of 2025, winning 2-0. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Greyhounds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
