Basketball Game Preview: Monticello Panthers vs. SS Seward

The Monticello Panthers will face off against SS Seward at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monticello has now lost 14 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 12.

It was a proper cat-fight when Monticello faced off against Warwick on Friday. Monticello was beaten by Warwick 50-9. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 706th, while the Wildcats are ranked 81st).

Meanwhile, SS Seward was able to grind out a solid victory over Eldred on Tuesday, taking the game 42-29. SS Seward hasn't had any issues with Eldred recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for SS Seward, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
