Basketball Recap: Wausau East's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

It was fun while it lasted, but Wausau East's undefeated season came to an end after seven games on Friday. They fell 77-65 to the Marshfield Tigers. The loss put an end to the Lumberjacks' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Wausau East fell to 7-1. As for Marshfield, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Wausau East and Berlin will round out the year against one another at at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Wausau East knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matches -- so hopefully Berlin likes a good challenge. As for Marshfield, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Stevens Point at 8:15 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
