Basketball Recap: Becker Falls to Albany in First Game of Season

Becker unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt an 88-48 defeat at the hands of the Albany Huskies on Tuesday. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 82-57 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bryce Paumen, who posted 11 points. Those 11 points gave Paumen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mitchell Soltau, who put up seven points.

Albany's win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Becker is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will challenge Delano at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Albany, they will venture away from home to take on Annandale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Albany has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 229 points over their last three matches.
