Basketball Preview: Jordan Warriors vs. Foster Falcons
The Jordan Warriors will take on the Foster Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jordan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Foster likes a good challenge.
Last Tuesday, everything went Jordan's way against Mayde Creek as Jordan made off with an 86-62 win. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 21 points or more this season.
Meanwhile, Foster didn't have quite enough to beat Strake Jesuit on Wednesday and fell 55-52. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Fighting Crusaders are ranked 109th).
Jordan will have to keep a close watch on Jaron Martin and Camran Bateman, a pair of players who had a big impact on Foster's prior game. Martin almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds, while Bateman went 5-for-7 en route to 12 points and seven boards. That's the most boards Bateman has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Humphrey, who had six points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks.
Foster's loss dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Jordan, their victory bumped their record up to 30-3.
