Baseball Recap: Northern York Takes a Loss

Northern York fell victim to Shippensburg and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Greyhounds by a score of 2-0. The Polar Bears haven't had much luck with the Greyhounds recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Collin McDonald spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Northern York saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryland Yinger, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Northern York's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Shippensburg, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.

Coming up, Northern York will challenge West Perry at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Polar Bears are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Shippensburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
