Baseball Recap: Williams Find Success

Williams was handed a seven-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Northern Durham Knights 6-4.

Cooper Marks was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Marks was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bubba Sims, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Logan Thompson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
