Basketball Recap: Jordan Find Success

It was a proper cat-fight when Jordan challenged Cabrillo on Wednesday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the Jordan Panthers made off with a 63-62 victory over the Cabrillo Jaguars. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Jaguars last Thursday, they had to take a 66-50 defeat.

Cabrillo's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lincoln Dean, who went 6 for 11 en route to 20 points and five assists. Aden Jones was another key player, going 7 of 14 on his way to 18 points and seven rebounds.

Jordan pushed their record up to 14-12 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Cabrillo, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-10 record.
