Softball Game Preview: Merrimack Tomahawks vs. Manchester Central Little Green

The Merrimack Tomahawks will head out to challenge the Manchester Central Little Green at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Merrimack made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Londonderry, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Tomahawks fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. The Tomahawks haven't had much luck with the Lancers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Manchester Central came up short against Timberlane on Wednesday, falling 21-3. The Little Green have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Manchester Central now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Merrimack, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-1.

Everything went Merrimack's way against Manchester Central when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Merrimack made off with a 9-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tomahawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
