Preview: Memorial Roughriders vs. Fort Recovery Indians
The Memorial Roughriders will head out on the road to face off against the Fort Recovery Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorial is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
Memorial scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took down Defiance 52-35. Given Memorial's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while Defiance is ranked 698th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Fort Recovery, as they earned their first road win of the season. They came out on top against Parkway by a score of 38-30 on Thursday. That 38-30 margin sets a new team best for Fort Recovery this season.
Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Fort Recovery, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
Everything went Memorial's way against Fort Recovery in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as Memorial made off with a 44-21 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Memorial since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
