Football Recap: Xavier Knights vs. Xaverian Clippers
Xavier had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Xaverian Clippers 28-7. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Knights just coasted through the last quarter.
Peter Heaney was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 86 yards and a touchdown. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Aydin Mora, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.
