Softball Recap: Sandia Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Sandia's offense. They came up short against the Volcano Vista Hawks on Thursday, falling 11-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Matadors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Sandia's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Volcano Vista, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Sandia didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-6 victory against St. Pius X on the 20th. As for Volcano Vista, they have also already played their next game, a 6-3 win against Cibola on the 20th.
