Basketball Recap: Holly Piles Up the Points Against Manzanola

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Holly). They blew past the Manzanola Bobcats 70-11 on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Holly's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Graci Morlan, who went 6 for 9 on her way to 13 points and seven steals. That's the most steals Morlan has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Josie Kissell, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards.

Holly moved to 4-7 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Manzanola, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Holly didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 43-27 victory against Rocky Ford on the 29th. As for Manzanola, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 52-14 defeat against Swallows Charter Academy on the 27th.
