Basketball Recap: Oak Hill's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Friday

Oak Hill won against St. Joseph Central last Tuesday with 54 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Oak Hill Oaks took down the South Gallia Rebels 54-36. Given the Oaks' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while the Rebels are ranked 698th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oak Hill has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for South Gallia, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Oak Hill will be playing at home against Northwest at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Gallia, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against River Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. South Gallia is facing River Valley at the right time seeing as River Valley is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
