Volleyball Game Preview: Milpitas Trojans vs. Palo Alto Vikings

The Milpitas Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the Palo Alto Vikings at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Milpitas earned a 3-1 victory over MacDonald. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Condor: they've now won six in a row.

The victory didn't come easy: MacDonald scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-20, 19-25, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Palo Alto entered their tilt with Santa Clara on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bruins.

While Palo Alto won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-23, 25-14.

Milpitas' win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Palo Alto, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-11.

Milpitas might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Palo Alto in their previous matchup on April 3rd. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
