Episcopal Academy extended their winning streak to 13 on Saturday, bumping them up to 17-1. They came out on top against the Marple Newtown Fightin Tigers by a score of 6-1. This was payback for the Churchmen, who suffered a 4-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

As for Marple Newtown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Marple Newtown's part, they got a good showing from Lianna Thompson, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Thompson has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Marple Newtown saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Siena Adams, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Episcopal Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marple Newtown, they will challenge Penncrest at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
