Basketball Recap: South Elgin Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the South Elgin Storm had to suffer through a 64-36 loss at the hands of the Normal Community Ironmen. While losing is never fun, the Storm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 556th, while the Ironmen are ranked 47th).

South Elgin has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Normal Community, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

South Elgin has already played their next matchup (against Jefferson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Normal Community has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Waubonsie Valley.
