Softball Recap: Columbia Turns Things Around After Road Loss

Columbia's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to James Clemens on Tuesday. The Eagles never let the Lee Generals get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory. Considering the Eagles have won four games by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Columbia's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7. As for Lee, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Coincidentally, Columbia and Lee will both be playing Mae Jemison the next time they take the field. The Generals will head out to face the Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Eagles will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
