Basketball Recap: North Posey Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

North Posey won the last time they faced Tecumseh, and Alyssa Heath did her part to make sure it happened again. The North Posey Vikings really took it to the Tecumseh Braves for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-46 victory thanks in part to Heath, who posted 28 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Tecumseh lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Katelyn Marx, who scored 13 points and three steals. Marx has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. Roxy Heichelbech was another key player, putting up 16 points.

North Posey is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Tecumseh, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Posey will challenge Tell City at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Tecumseh, they will face off against Princeton at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
