Softball Recap: Kellogg Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kellogg can now relate to. They fell just short of the North Fremont Huskies by a score of 6-4 on Friday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Joci Lee spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 18 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Malena Munoz made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Ella Kunze was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Kellogg's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for North Fremont, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Kellogg nor North Fremont have any future games scheduled.
