Hartsville fell victim to South Florence and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bruins. The Red Foxes' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Hartsville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was EmmaKate Hudson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Hartsville's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 9-4. As for South Florence, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Hartsville and South Florence should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings. Hartsville will face off against Dillon at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday up 113 places (26 vs. 139). Meanwhile, South Florence (ranked 29th) will meet Crestwood (ranked 133rd) on Thursday.
