Brookfield had won two straight games and Blake Hammond did his part to make it three on Friday. The Brookfield Warriors walked away with a 59-47 win over the Crestview Rebels thanks in part to Hammond, who went 6 for 12 en route to 17 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. The match was his fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Teagen Barbe was another key player, going 6 of 9 on his way to 15 points. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.
Crestview's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Evan Neff, who went 5 for 10 en route to 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. What's more, Neff also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tanner Guy, who posted 11 points and seven boards.
Brookfield has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Crestview, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
Brookfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 46-43 victory against Berkshire on the 25th. As for Crestview, they will take on Newton Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Newton Falls is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.5 points per game this season.
