Taft won the last time they faced Whitney Young and things went their way on Monday too. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Dolphins 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since April 17th.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Taft got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 21-25, 25-18.

Nicolas Pasala paced Taft's offense, picking up 17 kills. Pasala got some help from Ruel Ramirez and his 26 assists.

Taft pushed their record up to 24-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Whitney Young, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-15 record this season.

Taft didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Von Steuben on the 21st. As for Whitney Young, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Evergreen Park on the 27th.
