Columbia and West Marion are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Columbia Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the West Marion Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Monday, Columbia came up short against West Marion and fell 5-2.

Columbia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Breland, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Another was Brayden Thornhill, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

West Marion's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Columbia, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Columbia came up short against West Marion in their previous meeting on Monday, falling 5-2. Can Columbia avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
