The American Leadership Academy Eagles will face off against the Rowland Hall Winged Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in American Leadership Academy's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Rowland Hall has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
Last Friday, American Leadership Academy blew past Maeser Prep Academy, posting a 73-44 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead American Leadership Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaxon Hunter, who went 7 of 13 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and seven rebounds. What's more, Hunter also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kannon Huntsman, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.
American Leadership Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Rowland Hall strolled past St. Joseph with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 50-35. The Winged Lions pushed the score to 46-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Jayhawks cut but never quite recovered from.
Rowland Hall's win came from a few key players American Leadership Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Luc Dowdle, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of William Chin, who posted two points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.
American Leadership Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Rowland Hall, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
Keep an eye on the arc in Wednesday's contest: American Leadership Academy has been dynamite from deep this season, having drained 37.6% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Rowland Hall, though, as they've only made 26.1% of their three-pointers this season. Given American Leadership Academy's sizable advantage in that area, Rowland Hall will need to find a way to close that gap.
