Softball Recap: Haverling Has No Trouble Against Williamsville South

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Saturday as neither Haverling nor Williamsville South made it on the board until the seventh inning. The Rams were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Billies. Considering the Rams have won four matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Kaili Witherell made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. Witherell was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Makayla Smith, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024.
