Washburn not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 19th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against the Eagleton College & Career Academy Royals as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Royals: they've now won seven in a row.

Washburn never let Eagleton College & Career Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-13, 25-16.

Washburn's offense was headlined by Taylie Proffitt and Abigail Epperson, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from Kylie Ferguson and her 18 assists. Epperson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Despite the defeat, Eagleton College & Career Academy had strong showings from Zoe Abbott, who had 11 digs and four assists, and Kaylee Loud, who had eight digs.

The victory got Washburn back to even at 5-5. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.
