GREEN Upstate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 51-33 to the Abbeville Panthers. One positive for the Owls, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Abbeville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lauryn Murray led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Amiya McManus, who posted 14 points and eight steals.

GREEN Upstate's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Abbeville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Ware Shoals the next time they take the court. Abbeville will head out to face Ware Shoals at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while GREEN Upstate will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
